Meet the Adel Staff!
Mike Burggraaf
Mike is one of the owners of Adel Physical Therapy, Inc and is also a practicing physical therapist. He went to Wartburg College and graduated in 1999 with a major in biology and minor in athletic training. He then proceeded to Des Moines University Physical Therapy School in 2001 where he graduated with his Master’s degree. Mike enjoys time with his family, golfing, and following Hawkeye athletics.

Laura Hejtmanek
Laura is a staff physical therapist at Adel Physical Therapy, Inc. and splits her time between the Adel and West Des Moines clinics. She graduated from Wartburg College in 2003 with a B.S. in Biology and from Des Moines University in 2006 with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. She enjoys spending time with her husband Kevin and their dog Tucker, reading, baking/cooking, playing volleyball, and running. Laura enjoys being a physical therapist because she likes getting to know people and being able to help them, and she also appreciates the amount of one on one time that it allows her to spend with each person.
